| Ron brings a truly unique technique to photography. Small specimens with ethereal colors are used as subjects, bringing the micro-world of nature to true art photography. His camera is fitted with a one-of-a-kind lens he constructed from an assortment of discarded cameras. The lens captures light, color and forms in a truly unique way! These images are not photo shopped or enhanced; this is what the camera sensor sees through the lens. In Ron's words, "experimenting with lenses can produce dramatic results and individually unique photos. Hundreds of photos are taken of a hundred subjects yet only a handful of them are chosen due to particular color, light and composition. It's hit or miss and you do not know what you have until you look at the photo." Ron lives in North Grosvenordale, CT. This image is matted in Graphite with a Contrast Gray, metal frame, measures 16"x20" and will compliment any decor! This and other images by Ron are hanging in the Sochor Art Gallery in Arts & Framing, 112 Main St., Putnam, CT. Call Sheri at 860.963.0105. |
